Wednesday, 24 April 2024 Happy Wednesday all!  Some weeks are easier than others, and with all honesty: this one was on the tougher side. But this is the Lord's work and I feel His strength and your prayers every day! Thank you I've always had a strong testimony that God's hand is in the details of our lives but it is so cool to see it ever more present here in the mission field, in my life and the lives of others!  Tender Mercies this week:  1) Colomba Bianca. There is an evangelical church next to our chapel (sometimes we have mix ups and our friends go there on accident whoops ) and in the basement of the church is my favorite pizza restaurant called Colomba Bianca!! The waitress is named Anna and she is so kind and loves talking to us. This week she asked us what our favorite Christian singers are and I said Lauren Daigle and she said no way I love her too!! We talked about our favorite songs by her and then she put on my favorite song "You Say"

Wednesday, April 18, 2024   Pistacchio   Ciao my lovely friends and family! I hope everyone is doing well!  GUYS I FOUND MY FIRST PERSON THIS WEEK!!! Her name is Elisa and she is a hoot. I love her. We found her doing a phone flush (calling everybody in our contacts) and drove about 40 minutes outside of Catania through the most beautiful green countryside to visit her. We walked into her house and the all white walls were chock full of her super cool abstract paintings! She's an artist living in this little Italian coastal town living her best life!! She took us around to each one and explained the symbolism/her inspiration it was so cool. She's searching for the truth right now and had so many different books and different bibles from different churches she's looking into. She was SHOOK when we told her God has a body but I think she really liked the Book of Mormon. Please pray that as we teach her more of the restoration she will feel the truth of our message

Friday 1 March 2024 HELLO CIAO SALVE!  My lovely people we made it another week! It's a great day to be a missionary!!!! It is so hard and let's be real there have been times I have really wanted to go home, but I have also been filled with such joy this week! We have started to get into a good routine! (2 mile run every morning, studies, classes, and prayers as a district every night which has really made a difference in our unity!)  We started our Italian immersion which means our teachers pretty much only speak Italian to us besides to explain grammar or if we ask in Italian what a word means haha. My brain feels like it will explode sometimes but our teachers are THE BEST (seriously they make class so fun and are so cool)  and talk slow so we can understand. It's crazy how much Italian I feel like I've learned in 4 days! Our first fast from English is tomorrow! No english from 6am-6pm! There is a group of Italian missionaries going to Italy coming nex

Sunday, February 18: Talk in Sacrament Meeting, beginning of mission

Kylene spoke in the Silverleaf Ward Sacrament Meeting on February 18, a few days after beginning her home MTC experience. So many friends and family came to see and hear her testimony and many others tuned in to listen via Zoom. Here is the text of her talk: Buon Pomeriggio Fratelli e Sorelle! Good afternoon, brothers and sisters! My name is Sorella McCune and last Sunday I was set apart as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. For those of you who don’t know, I have been called to serve in the Italy Rome mission. I’ve had a fun week of home MTC and I’ll be heading to the Provo MTC this Wednesday for the rest of my training. This week has been a roller coaster for sure as I’ve adjusted to being a missionary, but God has been with me every step of the way and I am just filled with excitement to be a representative of Jesus Christ and share His love with the world. I am so excited to share with you my thoughts today and most importantly my testimony of Jesus

Tuesday, September 12: Mission Call to Italy Rome Mission

Kylene opened her mission call on Tuesday, September 12 in the activity room of her Heritage Halls Building 16. She was surrounded by family, friends, roommates, and ward members, with many others watching via Zoom and Instagram Live. She was shocked and elated to be assigned to labor in the Italy Rome Mission. September 12, 2023    Sister Kylene Noelani McCune 2283 W Boulder Bar Dr. Meridian, ID 83646   Dear Sister McCune:    You are hereby called to serve as a missionary of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. You have been recommended as one worthy to represent the Lord as a minister of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. You will be an official representative of the Church. As such, you will be expected to honor the covenants you have made with Heavenly Father, keep the commandments, maintain the highest standards of conduct, and follow the righteous counsel of your mission president. As you devote your time and attention to serving the Lord, leaving behind all other p

Friday, 23 February 2024 Buongiorno my wonderful friends and family! I officially arrived at the provo mtc and I will admit I missed these mountains! It's trippy being on this side of the fence after looking over it for so long haha but it's exciting. I've only been here two days but it does in fact feel like two weeks haha. Time is a crazy thing here in the mtc but it is wonderful! As soon as we crossed into the mtc I could immediately feel the Spirit and my brother even turned to me and said: "do you feel that?" Everyone is so kind and I love my Sorelle! Definitely giving girls camp vibes with all of us in the same room haha but it's a fun time! Everyone calls us "the Sistrict" instead of District or in Italiano, "Sistretto" hahaha. Being here is definitely an adjustment but there are moments that make it so so worth it all! Just have got to be patient and keep up the faith! Ci vuole il tempo: It takes time.   We got to go t
