This week was so fun. Something I love about being Sorella
Yardley's comp is how happy she makes life. She's the first to laugh at
any little thing and always smiles no matter how tired she is. She's
just what I needed this last month to get me on through haha.
We
had 2 friends come to the baptism of a friend of the anziani, Innocent.
Innocent is such a down to earth guy and adds "by the grace of God" to
literally every sentence haha I love him. Sorella Yardley & I played
a piano duet at the baptism and after our friend Margherita asking a
member what temperature the water is in the baptismal font, she
responded "Good, I want mine warm at my baptism." Stay tuned hehe

Tonight
we went out finding at a park and started talking to a woman named
Bruna. She has 9 kids and lives in very humble circumstances. Her kids
were playing at the park and when we asked her if she'd like to talk
about Jesus Christ with us she happily agreed and pulled out 3 camp
chairs and placed them in a circle for us to sit on. It occurred to me
that this was the very first time I'd been invited into a person's home
from door knocking. It was the best she could offer, those 3 camp chairs
outside of her mobile home in a park, but I felt the Spirit while I
talked with Bruna. She told us about her faith in Jesus Christ and how
she feels the strength of God through prayer. It struck me how joyful
this woman was. Elder Uchtdorf said:
"A great part of our work on this earth is to endure joyfully to the end—every day of our life."
My friend Bruna is an example of this.
How can you endure joyfully to the end and help others do the same?
Alla prossima,
Sorella McCune
