Wednesday, June 18: La Città del Vaticano✝️

Hey!!
57 days till i get to hug y'all 🥳  (but who's counting:))

This week was pretty chill but here's some updates.
Second to last in-person district council! 11 chairs/transfers🤯 when did that happen??
We meet all kinds of people in the vc haha. This week's fun one was a guy with schizophrenia. He kept switching personalities and names on us lol, at one point he claimed to be the apostle Andrew... (but he didn't have a beard??🤔) fun times!
Went to a member Aliyah's birthday party and ate bomb filipino food.
Tried...and failed... to learn the violin haha (thanks Sorella Seamons for trying)
Met our new friend Francesca!! She's young and is super excited to study the bom with us🎊
Got a brand new car!! (Goodbye to our fender flapping in the wind lol; me & that yaris have been through a lot together)
A family from California invited their taxi driver to come into the vc!! He said he'd dropped people off at the temple a ton but never been invited in. His name is Marco and the grandpa from the family and I gave him a tour. He had so many awesome questions and I really felt the gift of tongues and God guiding me in what to say. It seriously is the best feeling ever watching people walk out of the vc or away from me on the street with a Book of Mormon in their hands. I have such a testimony of the power that book has to change lives as people humbly read it!
Filmed a music video for pres and sorella morris' farewell. T-minus 1 week until the Walker's (from Eagle!!) arrive in Rome!!!
Today we went to the vatican! It was sooo cool. We were watching a mass and the priest was talking about the first and second great commandments. He talked about loving others no matter who they are or what they've done to you. It was so beautiful (especially in italian) and made me reflect on how much respect I've gained for the catholic church and other religions. No, they don't have the complete truth or authority of God, but I've met so many devoted catholics who are good good people and are simply striving to follow and worship God in the way they know to be best.
Haha then we met a member and he took a picture of us and said "everyone say Book of Mormon!!" right in front of the pope's giant preaching thingy hahaha still so grateful to be a part of the restored Church of Jesus Christ on the earth today.

s/o to my girls Hermana Heywood & Hermana Draney who started their missions the past couple weeks!! (+everyone else who did!) It makes me so excited to see all of the new missionaries and to know we're all part of the same work🥹
