 Wednesday, March 25: blitz @the colosseum

 Today was probably the most italian day of my life and I LOVED it. We started off strong with Sorella Gruwell's baked oatmeal that makes any day amazing (not italian but thought i'd throw that in there). We ate pizza for pday and tonight we headed to the center of Rome with our whole district to the blitz at the Colosseum!!! I'm obsessed with Roma 3. We said a prayer then all split up with Books of Mormon and talked to everyone! Not going to lie my comp & i had a rough time at first we were getting rejected right and left but we kept at it. It reminded us of Alma 26:27 

"Now when our hearts were depressed, and we were about to turn back, behold, the Lord comforted us, and said: Go amongst thy brethren, the Lamanites, and bear with patience thine afflictions, and I will give unto you success." 
We were walking around a half hour later after meeting people from Poland, California, China, a couple who just got engaged...but no one was interested. I saw a man sitting down in all black with his hood up, a mask on, headphones in, just finished a run kind of vibe, and the Spirit told me to talk to him. He looked a little sketch but I went for it and we met our newest bestie HERMAN!!! He's from LA and grew up Catholic but is looking for a new religion. He was so open and interested and right there next to the Colosseum we taught him how to pray, the word of wisdom, about the Book of Mormon, baptism, downloaded gospel library on his phone, and answered all of his questions. He asked us if there was a church in Napoli cause he's going to be there on sunday and we're going to put him in contact with the missionaries in California!!!! GOD'S HAND 

&then we got gelato and went home and made baked pasta for tomorrow. 

Living the italian dream. But 10x better cause I'm one of the Lord's missionaries with some of my best friends ever. 

i love God. i love Jesus. i love my mission. 
Go on a mission!!! It'll change your life.

  Hellooooo and happy summer everybody!    Things are starting to heat up down here in Sicilia, (quite literally-there was a huge fire the other day but tutto bene!) but me and my new companion, Sorella Wall, are ready to conquer the heat in our apartment with no AC!! hahaha we'll be fine... Also- SHE IS A RUNNER!!! Answer to prayers.  We've run every morning since being companions (down by the sea hehe) and my soul is slowly starting to heal.   Sorella Wall is a grinder of a runner and a grinder of a missionary! I don't think I've ever worked this hard in my life and also had this much fun while doing it! Saturday, February 17: SONO UNA MISSIONARIA?!?!

  Saturday, 17 February 2024 SORELLE E FRATELLI   First off- guys I love you. Thank you for being in my life, writing down your email, and going on this adventure with me!!!! I LOVE YOU ALL    Second off- some quick hitters: I finished my first week of missionary training online! My companion is from Germany!  Her name is Sorella Köcher. Still working on that pronunciation haha but she is AMAZING. Such a kind and genuine soul with an amazing testimony that is already so inspiring to me! She shares a love for Ikea and makes me laugh. I'm excited to learn and grow with her!  I am in a district with ALL Sorelle (Sisters). SO FUN. Slumber parties with 5 girls for 5 weeks? Sign me up  Haha I'll keep you guys updated on how it goes. Wednesday, October 16 Hello!!  Okay I've got 2 stories for you to show why I just love this place and these people and this work so stinking much.  Number 1! A couple weeks ago Sorella Riley found a lady named Stacey on Facebook! She is from Pennsylvania but married a man from Oristano and has lived here with her son for 7 years. She grew up going to young women activities and church with her friend who is a member and asked if we could bring her a new copy of the Book of Mormon because she lost hers. Say less!! We drove the 15 minutes into the countryside and looked for her gate on a street with no name haha, literally in the middle of nowhere. She welcomed us into her home/farm with open arms and made us feel so at home and appreciated! It was so cool seeing her animals that all just roam around her yard together, they're all so friendly!
