Wednesday, March 19: ROMA 3

HEY! another great week in Rome complete! I'm still in love with the VC as much as ever and get so excited whenever we get to go haha. 

This week was a little wild & so much fun. Here are some highlights: 
-Monday we got a call from President Morris asking if us and the other Roma 3 sorelle could come help host a special event at the villa (the mission home) celebrating its 100th anniversary. Some of the people on the guest list included: the senator of Rome, Elder De Feo of the 70, and a Catholic priest. 😮 Well we took that as a great excuse to go on a shopping spree in downtown Rome last pday and put on our best outfits to welcome guests in, chat, take jackets, serve food, and hang out with the Morris' grandkids. ✨️ It was so fun and a super unique opportunity. 
-On Saturday Monica came to the temple for a relief society activity with a bunch of other sisters from Pescara and it was sooo great to see them all. 💝
-Sunday night we drove into the beautiful countryside (so so green- spring in rome is the best ever) to a friend of the anziani's named Natalia from Argentina. It was out of our area but since we met her in the visitors center she invited us to pranzo too!! It was so cute and we got to meet her mom and 2 kids, eat bomb argentinian food, and share a thought about prayer. 
-Monday we went on a lil adventure with the sorelle again (roma 3 unite👊) to meet their friend Fabio in a STUNNING town called Castel Gandolfo. Literally straight out of a movie, go look it up- the whole town is on a hill overlooking a tourquoise-colored lake and the view was stunning. We ate lunch at this restaurant/antique museum place and when Fabio showed us around we found ourselves in these underground tunnels full of antiques?? Honestly had no idea where I was half the time but the lasagna was FIRE. 🤌 Nothing beats a good lasagna. 
-Had my first panizzo (Sorella Taylor I got your go-to combo ;) iykyk) 
-My comp Sorella Gruwell is a queen and I love her to death. Just thought I'd add that:)

SHE'S A RUNNER

  Hellooooo and happy summer everybody!    Things are starting to heat up down here in Sicilia, (quite literally-there was a huge fire the other day but tutto bene!) but me and my new companion, Sorella Wall, are ready to conquer the heat in our apartment with no AC!! hahaha we'll be fine... Also- SHE IS A RUNNER!!! Answer to prayers.  We've run every morning since being companions (down by the sea hehe) and my soul is slowly starting to heal.   Sorella Wall is a grinder of a runner and a grinder of a missionary! I don't think I've ever worked this hard in my life and also had this much fun while doing it! Saturday, February 17: SONO UNA MISSIONARIA?!?!

  Saturday, 17 February 2024 SORELLE E FRATELLI   First off- guys I love you. Thank you for being in my life, writing down your email, and going on this adventure with me!!!! I LOVE YOU ALL    Second off- some quick hitters: I finished my first week of missionary training online! My companion is from Germany!  Her name is Sorella Köcher. Still working on that pronunciation haha but she is AMAZING. Such a kind and genuine soul with an amazing testimony that is already so inspiring to me! She shares a love for Ikea and makes me laugh. I'm excited to learn and grow with her!  I am in a district with ALL Sorelle (Sisters). SO FUN. Slumber parties with 5 girls for 5 weeks? Sign me up  Haha I'll keep you guys updated on how it goes. More on them in a sec.  I absolutely love each of my 3 teachers!! 2 Sorelle e 1 Fratello. They all served in Italy and one of them is half Italian! Wednesday, October 16 Hello!!  Okay I've got 2 stories for you to show why I just love this place and these people and this work so stinking much.  Number 1! A couple weeks ago Sorella Riley found a lady named Stacey on Facebook! She is from Pennsylvania but married a man from Oristano and has lived here with her son for 7 years. She grew up going to young women activities and church with her friend who is a member and asked if we could bring her a new copy of the Book of Mormon because she lost hers. Say less!! We drove the 15 minutes into the countryside and looked for her gate on a street with no name haha, literally in the middle of nowhere. She welcomed us into her home/farm with open arms and made us feel so at home and appreciated! It was so cool seeing her animals that all just roam around her yard together, they're all so friendly! If I can remember correctly she has... 2 donkeys, 2 emus, 30 chickens, 6 cats, 1 dog, 3 goats, 1 sardegnian sheep (!!), 4 para...
