Wednesday, March 11, 2025: Tom & Gayle Holdman!!!

Ciao a tutti!!! 

Soooo this week was amazing. Every day I spend on these temple grounds and at this visitors center changes me. The more I learn about the Savior's life, and the more amazing people I meet, the more I am just in awe at Heavenly Father's beautiful plan for each of us and how present His hand is in our everyday life. He is there! He knows us. He loves us. This week we had the very special opportunity to meet and spend time with Tom and Gayle Holdman, the creators of the beautiful stained glass window in the front room of the visitors center as well as of the stained glass on the temple and more than 180 other temples around the world. (!!!!) The stained glass in the visitors center is a piece called "Come Unto Me" and contains more than 120 symbols from the life, teachings, and ministry of Jesus Christ. We use this window every single day in the VC and so you can imagine we were all fangirling a little bit when the creator himself TOM HOLDMAN walked in haha. 
The Holdmans changed my life. Their humility and receptiveness to the Spirit and the way they allow God to lead them in everything they do has inspired me to learn more about how I personally hear Him. It reminded of a quote by President Nelson: "In coming days, it will not be possible to survive spiritually without the guiding, directing, comforting, and constant influence of the Holy Ghost" 

Today for pday we took a little trip around Rome that was sooooo fun. This city blows me away. I love living in Rome and I love being a missionary even more!!

SHE'S A RUNNER

  Hellooooo and happy summer everybody!    Things are starting to heat up down here in Sicilia, (quite literally-there was a huge fire the other day but tutto bene!) but me and my new companion, Sorella Wall, are ready to conquer the heat in our apartment with no AC!! hahaha we'll be fine... Also- SHE IS A RUNNER!!! Answer to prayers.  We've run every morning since being companions (down by the sea hehe) and my soul is slowly starting to heal.   Sorella Wall is a grinder of a runner and a grinder of a missionary! I don't think I've ever worked this hard in my life and also had this much fun while doing it! Saturday, February 17: SONO UNA MISSIONARIA?!?!

  Saturday, 17 February 2024 SORELLE E FRATELLI   First off- guys I love you. Thank you for being in my life, writing down your email, and going on this adventure with me!!!! I LOVE YOU ALL    Second off- some quick hitters: I finished my first week of missionary training online! My companion is from Germany!  Her name is Sorella Köcher. Still working on that pronunciation haha but she is AMAZING. Such a kind and genuine soul with an amazing testimony that is already so inspiring to me! She shares a love for Ikea and makes me laugh. I'm excited to learn and grow with her!  I am in a district with ALL Sorelle (Sisters). SO FUN. Slumber parties with 5 girls for 5 weeks? Sign me up  Haha I'll keep you guys updated on how it goes. More on them in a sec.  I absolutely love each of my 3 teachers!! 2 Sorelle e 1 Fratello. They all served in Italy and one of them is half Italian! Wednesday, October 16 Hello!!  Okay I've got 2 stories for you to show why I just love this place and these people and this work so stinking much.  Number 1! A couple weeks ago Sorella Riley found a lady named Stacey on Facebook! She is from Pennsylvania but married a man from Oristano and has lived here with her son for 7 years. She grew up going to young women activities and church with her friend who is a member and asked if we could bring her a new copy of the Book of Mormon because she lost hers. Say less!! We drove the 15 minutes into the countryside and looked for her gate on a street with no name haha, literally in the middle of nowhere. She welcomed us into her home/farm with open arms and made us feel so at home and appreciated! It was so cool seeing her animals that all just roam around her yard together, they're all so friendly!
