Wednesday, February 5: 🌲🌊

Heyo! Whats up gang. It was a hard week and also a great one... you know how it goes🫠 

But the good news is... next week is Danilo and Monica's baptism!! Today we hiked in the woods up to a castle!! The sun has been shining and that is a blessing in February!! We did an exchange with the sorelle in Terni and they both love to run so we ran to the beach with our matching hokas hehe. Also- we taught our friend Giusy the Restoration and a member and his wife (who doesn't come to church anymore) came to the lesson and bore beautiful testimony. It was so cool to see how the Spirit touched both our friend as she learned these truths for the first time and the member as she was reminded of them. I love the gospel!! 

I read an amazing talk this week called "The Gift of Grace" by Elder Uchtdorf (April 2015)- 10/10 recommend. One quote that actually changed my life:
"Salvation cannot be bought with the currency of obedience; it is purchased by the blood of the Son of God." 
This really impacted my perspective on obedience, especially as I've been teaching the blessings of obedience to a new missionary. Obedience comes naturally from our love and gratitude for the goodness of God and for His grace. We obey the commandments of God because we love Him.

SHE'S A RUNNER

  Hellooooo and happy summer everybody!    Things are starting to heat up down here in Sicilia, (quite literally-there was a huge fire the other day but tutto bene!) but me and my new companion, Sorella Wall, are ready to conquer the heat in our apartment with no AC!! hahaha we'll be fine... Also- SHE IS A RUNNER!!! Answer to prayers.  We've run every morning since being companions (down by the sea hehe) and my soul is slowly starting to heal.   Sorella Wall is a grinder of a runner and a grinder of a missionary! I don't think I've ever worked this hard in my life and also had this much fun while doing it! Saturday, February 17: SONO UNA MISSIONARIA?!?!

  Saturday, 17 February 2024 SORELLE E FRATELLI   First off- guys I love you. Thank you for being in my life, writing down your email, and going on this adventure with me!!!! I LOVE YOU ALL    Second off- some quick hitters: I finished my first week of missionary training online! My companion is from Germany!  Her name is Sorella Köcher. Still working on that pronunciation haha but she is AMAZING. Such a kind and genuine soul with an amazing testimony that is already so inspiring to me! She shares a love for Ikea and makes me laugh. I'm excited to learn and grow with her!  I am in a district with ALL Sorelle (Sisters). SO FUN. Slumber parties with 5 girls for 5 weeks? Sign me up  Haha I'll keep you guys updated on how it goes. Wednesday, October 16 Hello!!  Okay I've got 2 stories for you to show why I just love this place and these people and this work so stinking much.  Number 1! A couple weeks ago Sorella Riley found a lady named Stacey on Facebook! She is from Pennsylvania but married a man from Oristano and has lived here with her son for 7 years. She grew up going to young women activities and church with her friend who is a member and asked if we could bring her a new copy of the Book of Mormon because she lost hers. Say less!! We drove the 15 minutes into the countryside and looked for her gate on a street with no name haha, literally in the middle of nowhere. She welcomed us into her home/farm with open arms and made us feel so at home and appreciated! It was so cool seeing her animals that all just roam around her yard together, they're all so friendly!
