Wednesday, January 8: our new convert wrote a song about Jesus

our new convert wrote a song about Jesus

Happy 2025! ๐ŸŽ‰ Here's a quote to get you thinking as we get back into the grind of things.
"A life of integrity is not a life of perfection, it is a life in which we strive every day to foremost be true to God and, within that context, to be true to others." -Elder Jack N. Gerard

Not much to update on over here, just doing my best to keep up the daily grind! It's hard work but God is good and it is good to be one of His servants.
Little miracles this week:
-our neighbor who normally avoids us at all costs accepted a Book of Mormon!
-we went on a beach walk/run during a exchange with the sorelle di Perugia and God blessed us with the most beautiful sunrise
-we had the opportunity to go to a food bank and make dinner and serve it to people. It was so fun! I've never diced so many tomatoes in my life haha
-our friend gave us a whole block of my favorite pecorino cheese (YUM)
-our new convert Alessio wrote a song with his testimony of Jesus... i'll leave it and the lyrics below
-a lady who met with the sorelle in the past contacted us and asked if we could explain Lehi's vision of the tree of life to her! She said she set a new years goal to read the whole Book of Mormon. It has been so cool to see the impact the Book of Mormon has in the lives of the people I meet. It really is powerful and I know it is the key to the gathering of Israel!

Love you all!
Sorella McCune

Alessio's song (English translation)
Take me where my immense faith will be
Where evil always loses
There is no suffering
Take me where my life will improve
Walking on the water
To follow your voice

I don't know if I'll ever understand the love you gave me
After everything I've done you're still in love with me
You're more than the early morning, the water I drink, the air I feel
You're inside my heart at every moment
On the cross you paid my ransom with pain and blood
It's only thanks to you that now I'm forever redeemed
I ask you to forgive me if I sometimes make mistakes
But even in sports there is a second half
Please, watch over and take care of my family
And maybe in the future give me a son or a daughter
I promise you that I will never let evil win again
Because you didn't suffer for my defeat

Take me where my immense faith will be
Where evil always loses
There is no suffering
Take me where my life will improve
Walking on the waters
To follow your voice
Take me where my immense faith will be
Where evil always loses
There is no suffering
Take me where my life will improve
Walking on the waters
To follow your voice

I promise you that I will never give in to evil again
Because you did not suffer for my defeat
