Wednesday, January 22, 2025: uniting families for eternity CIAO!!  The first week of training has been overall good!! My new comp is named Sorella Hydrick from Texas and I love her to death she is such a fireball. She's already done 2 transfers in North Dakota while waiting for her visa and brings lots of new ideas and experience! Plus she's my 4th companion from the vistors center... put me in there Pres I'm ready   One challenge of training is the jetlag- I don't think I've ever seen someone sleep so much in so many different places hahaha. On the kitchen floor, at cafè's, in the visitors center, in the temple baptistry, I could go on haha...poor girl. But I've been so proud of her for the way she's adjusting and am super grateful for her energy and humor. We started off Sorella Hydrick's time here in Italy off strong by going to the TEMPLE!!! My favorite place on earth. I missed it after almost a year of not going and it was an amazin...

Wednesday, January 15: motherhood Ciaooo!  This week was awesome. There were so many times Sorella Briscoe and I felt full of joy and gratitude. Danilo and Monica are progressing so well and every lesson with them gets better and better as they learn and act on our invites. In one of the lessons this week Monica was sick and so Danilo just came. He said that it was actually a tender mercy for him to be able to come on his own and show God his personal commitment, even without Monica. We were able to focus on some of his concerns/questions and it was super powerful. That being said, it is so beautiful to watch them grow together. They've started saying prayers as a couple each night and as a family as well with their daughters. It's so cool to hear the effects they are seeing in their home and in their lives as they learn these beautiful simple truths of the gospel. I love them.  We recieved a member refferal from a woman who hasn't come to church for ...

Wednesday, January 8, 2025: our new convert wrote a song about Jesus Happy 2025! Here's a quote to get you thinking as we get back into the grind of things.  "A life of integrity is not a life of perfection, it is a life in which we strive every day to foremost be true to God and, within that context, to be true to others." -Elder Jack N. Gerard Not much to update on over here, just doing my best to keep up the daily grind! It's hard work but God is good and it is good to be one of His servants.  Little miracles this week:  -our neighbor who normally avoids us at all costs accepted a Book of Mormon!  -we went on a beach walk/run during a exchange with the sorelle di Perugia and God blessed us with the most beautiful sunrise  -we had the opportunity to go to a food bank and make dinner and serve it to people. It was so fun! I've never diced so many tomatoes in my life haha -our friend gave us a whole block of my favorite pecorino cheese (YUM)  -our...

Tuesday, December 31: I met my best friends this week You know when things happen that you know will change the rest of your life? Yeah that happened to me this week. I'd like to tell the story of one of my best friends, Monica. 30 years ago Monica was running to her car from a grocery store in the pouring rain when 2 nice looking young men (bravi anziani!) offered her their umbrella. She took it and drove away but for a week after couldn't stop thinking about how bad she felt leaving them in the rain. She found the anziani, gave them back the umbrella and started meeting with them. They gifted her a book but after a few weeks she moved cities, stopped contacting the anziani, and lost the book.   Fast forward 10 years, Monica is in a terrible car accident that should have taken her life. She said they literally pulled her out of the flames under her car. It was a miracle that she survived. As a result of the accident Monica lost a large part of her memory. Monica m...
