Merry Christmas!!!
I can't believe the time has come. This Christmas season has been so special. Serving my Savior Jesus Christ in this special calling is one of the best ways I can think of to celebrate Christmas and I feel so blessed to be doing it here in this place that has become so dear to me. At our Christmas zone conference last week our mission president's wife invited us all to write in our journals "Who is Jesus Christ for me?" As I studied this week leading up to Christmas, wrote, and pondered on this question, my testimony of Jesus Christ and His Atonement grew so much.  Alma 36:17- "And it came to pass that as I was thus racked with torment, while I was harrowed up by the memory of my many sins, behold I remembered also to have heard my father prophesy unto the people concerning the coming of one Jesus Christ, a son of God, to atone for the sins of the world." I have found myself in Alma's position many times in my life, as we each have, "harrowed up" or weighed down by the mistakes, inadequacies, guilt, and pain that we feel during this mortal life. The message that I want to share with each of you today is the testimony I have gained this Christmas season: Christ the babe was born for you. He was born for me. "Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows... and with his stripes we are healed." He carried that weight, guilt, disappointment, anger, fear. A pain so great that "His sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling to the ground." Luke 22:44. Jesus Christ is the Son of God. Jesus Christ knows perfectly every challenge you and I have ever faced and will face. I don't understand everything perfectly, but I know through my covenants I can access His enabling power and He will help me persevere until I get to go back home to live with Him.

The Good Shepherd (Alma 5:38)
Immanuel (2 Nephi 18:8)
Mediator (2 Nephi 2:28) 
True and Living God (1 Nephi 17:30)
The True Messiah (2 Nephi 2:28)

Wherever you are in the world and however you will celebrate this special Christmas season I invite you to take some time today to study the Atonement of Jesus Christ. I promise it will change you. It has changed me.

SHE'S A RUNNER

  Hellooooo and happy summer everybody!    Things are starting to heat up down here in Sicilia, (quite literally-there was a huge fire the other day but tutto bene!) but me and my new companion, Sorella Wall, are ready to conquer the heat in our apartment with no AC!! hahaha we'll be fine... Also- SHE IS A RUNNER!!! Answer to prayers.  We've run every morning since being companions (down by the sea hehe) and my soul is slowly starting to heal.   Sorella Wall is a grinder of a runner and a grinder of a missionary! Saturday, February 17: SONO UNA MISSIONARIA?!?!

  Saturday, 17 February 2024 SORELLE E FRATELLI   First off- guys I love you. Thank you for being in my life, writing down your email, and going on this adventure with me!!!! I LOVE YOU ALL    Second off- some quick hitters: I finished my first week of missionary training online! My companion is from Germany!  Her name is Sorella Köcher. Still working on that pronunciation haha but she is AMAZING. Such a kind and genuine soul with an amazing testimony that is already so inspiring to me! She shares a love for Ikea and makes me laugh. I'm excited to learn and grow with her!  I am in a district with ALL Sorelle (Sisters). SO FUN. Slumber parties with 5 girls for 5 weeks? Sign me up  Haha I'll keep you guys updated on how it goes. More on them in a sec.  I absolutely love each of my 3 teachers!! 2 Sorelle e 1 Fratello. They all served in Italy and one of them is half Italian! Wednesday, October 16 Hello!!  Okay I've got 2 stories for you to show why I just love this place and these people and this work so stinking much.  Number 1! A couple weeks ago Sorella Riley found a lady named Stacey on Facebook! She is from Pennsylvania but married a man from Oristano and has lived here with her son for 7 years. She grew up going to young women activities and church with her friend who is a member and asked if we could bring her a new copy of the Book of Mormon because she lost hers. Say less!! We drove the 15 minutes into the countryside and looked for her gate on a street with no name haha, literally in the middle of nowhere. She welcomed us into her home/farm with open arms and made us feel so at home and appreciated! It was so cool seeing her animals that all just roam around her yard together, they're all so friendly! If I can remember correctly she has... 2 donkeys, 2 emus, 30 chickens, 6 cats, 1 dog, 3 goats, 1 sardegnian sheep (!!), 4 para...
