Wednesday, December 25, 2024: Christ the babe was born for YOU. Merry Christmas!!! I can't believe the time has come. This Christmas season has been so special. Serving my Savior Jesus Christ in this special calling is one of the best ways I can think of to celebrate Christmas and I feel so blessed to be doing it here in this place that has become so dear to me. At our Christmas zone conference last week our mission president's wife invited us all to write in our journals "Who is Jesus Christ for me?" As I studied this week leading up to Christmas, wrote, and pondered on this question, my testimony of Jesus Christ and His Atonement grew so much.  Alma 36:17- "And it came to pass that as I was thus racked with torment, while I was harrowed up by the memory of my many sins, behold I remembered also to have heard my father prophesy unto the people concerning the coming of one Jesus Christ, a son of God, to atone for the sins of the world." I have ...

Wednesday, December 18, 2024: Roma... x6 Buon Natale a tutti!!  Sorella Briscoe and I got to go to Rome this week... 3 TIMES! (6 bus rides) hahaha. Sometimes all I can do is just smile and shake my head cause I love serving my mission in Italy. Rome is beautiful this time of year! On one of our trips to Rome we had our Christmas zone conference! It was so fun being all together as a zone. We had amazing discussions on the Atonement of Jesus Christ, sung carols, did a white elephant gift exchange, and ate a delicious Christmas meal prepared by the amazing senior couples in Rome! They're the best. The visitors center is so beautiful this time of year, there are nativities from all over the world, poinsettias, lights, trees, and Books of Mormon wrapped with bows! I love that place. It was the best getting to see so many people I love sooo much and celebrating together. I am so grateful.  On Monday during our mission family home evening Anziano Curtis, the dire...

Ohhhhh God is good. This week was stressful and humbling and found me on my knees 99% of the time and though it's hard, these have become some of my favorite weeks in the mission. President Nelson said it best: "The Savior is never closer to you than when you are facing or moving a mountain with faith." AMEN! I've seen this over and over again in my mission and saw it once again this week. Last week I recieved the assignment and opportunity to be an stl (sister training leader)! Adjusting has been a little overwhelming and also amazing at how the heavens have opened as I've turned to God in prayer and I've recieved revelation for my zone and the mission. All of the ZLs and STLs in the mission traveled to Rome for MLC (mission leadership conference) and it was so fun and powerful to be able to learn from so many amazing leaders and missionaries. (And see some of my besties:))  This is one of my favorite quotes from the week: "To be effective C...

Wednesday, December 4, 2024: Alessio's baptism ❄️ This week might've been the best week of my mission so far! I'm not one to do day by day but this one deserves it so hang in there haha On Wednesday they set up the Christmas markets in centro! They're sooo cute and festive, each little stand with garland and lights and selling fun homemade nativities and treats. Christmastime in Italy might just be my favorite thing ever. Sorella Briscoe and I shopped all morning, got pizza, and then did a turkey bowl with the District and ZLs. Thursday - Thanksgiving!!!  This Thanksgiving was one of my favorite yet. It was so special, even being in a country that doesn't celebrate it haha. We woke up at the crack of dawn to finish making our pumpkin pie from scratch--#momsintraining-- which actually turned out so good! We started the morning off with a big blitz in centro and were able to give out some Books of Mormon and get tons of numbers for English course! Then us...
