Happy october everyone:)
(where did september go?!)
I
wore my first sweater of the season last monday and there are pumpkins
at the produce stand by our house! Time for Italy in the fall!!!!
This
week flew. We have been having a hard time finding new people to teach
lately but we started being more intentional in some smaller things (for
example setting a goal for how many invites we want to extend every
time we walk out the door!) and praying with faith that God has prepared
people for us to teach and it has been so cool to see the impact!!
Heavenly Father has totally placed people in our path! A man at the bus
stop who wanted to learn English AND about our church and is already
friends with one of our other friends. A couple from Poland living in
Sardegna for 2 months who love familysearch who we became instant
friends with. A girl on a park bench who wants to learn more about the
Book of Mormon! There were miracles everywhere we looked!
I
love the BYU speech given by President Holland "Cast not therefore away
your confidence". He gives 3 counsels about revelation:
1) Questions often precede revelation
(What questions will you bring to general conference this weekend?! Write them down!)
2) Do not fear.
"With the spirit of revelation, dismiss your fears and wade in with both feet."
3) God will help us!
An
eternal truth: If God reveals something to us that points us toward a
righteous purpose/duty, then God will provide the means and power to
achieve that purpose. That's truth!
