Wednesday, 23 October 2024: bittersweet If bittersweet was a week it would most definitely be this one. This Sunday was a miracle. It was the senior couple, the Hanna's, last sunday and I think the full chapel made it obvious what a huge impact they have made here in Oristano. 30 people in church and 8 non-members!!! For the first time in a year Anziano Hanna put out two sacrament trays:). The Spirit was so strong and the chorus of voices singing I know that my Redeemer Lives might have just been the most beautiful thing I've ever heard. I love our little branch The Coppia Hanna have been a home away from home and they will be sooo missed. Something that has always stuck out to me is that even with the language barrier how much the people here love Sorella Hanna. Wednesday, October 16 Hello!!  Okay I've got 2 stories for you to show why I just love this place and these people and this work so stinking much.  Number 1! A couple weeks ago Sorella Riley found a lady named Stacey on Facebook! She is from Pennsylvania but married a man from Oristano and has lived here with her son for 7 years. She grew up going to young women activities and church with her friend who is a member and asked if we could bring her a new copy of the Book of Mormon because she lost hers. Say less!! We drove the 15 minutes into the countryside and looked for her gate on a street with no name haha, literally in the middle of nowhere. She welcomed us into her home/farm with open arms and made us feel so at home and appreciated! It was so cool seeing her animals that all just roam around her yard together, they're all so friendly!  Wednesday, October 9, 2024: welcome to the gospel of JOY   In case you didn't know- the gospel of Jesus Christ is a gospel of joy. It has brought true joy into my life and I can promise you it will bring true joy into yours.  You wanna know some reasons why?  -Jesus Christ is my Savior and HE'S COMING AGAIN!  -I know who I am-> a beloved daughter of God. And everyday I get to remind people who they are-> beloved children of God!!  -I am serving alongside sooo many incredible missionaries and leaders (zone conference yesterday was bomb) in this mission and across the world!  -Mortality works (!!) and as I have learned with the example of my friend Antonello, every trial we face has a reason and will be for our good! Therefore, as we think celestial we can be happy in any circumstance!  -Making covenants with the Lord has given me a confidence and peace like nothing else can- I know the Lord keeps His promises! Wednesday, October 2, 2024 Happy october everyone:) (where did september go?!)  I wore my first sweater of the season last monday and there are pumpkins at the produce stand by our house! Time for Italy in the fall!!!! This week flew. We have been having a hard time finding new people to teach lately but we started being more intentional in some smaller things (for example setting a goal for how many invites we want to extend every time we walk out the door!) and praying with faith that God has prepared people for us to teach and it has been so cool to see the impact!! Heavenly Father has totally placed people in our path! A man at the bus stop who wanted to learn English AND about our church and is already friends with one of our other friends. A couple from Poland living in Sardegna for 2 months who love familysearch who we became instant friends with. A girl on a park bench who wants to learn more about the Book of Mormon! There were miracles everywhere we looked!...
