Hellooooo

I hope you are having a wonderful day wherever you are in the world :) 

Our friend Marco accepted the invite to be baptized on October 20th!!! He has really put in the spiritual work on his own to gain a testimony and it has been so cool to see his joy and peace grow since me and Sorella Taylor met him last transfer. Prayers for him!! After we set his baptismal date me and Sorella Riley were just soooo happy. It wasn't just like a bouncing off the walls type of happy, but a powerful joy that I know comes from being an instrument in the hands of the Lord to help gather Israel. It's amazing to see the promise in my mission call become a reality as my mission goes on: "Greater blessings and more joy than you have yet experienced await you as you humbly and prayerfully serve the Lord in this labor of love among His children." I can testify this is true! 
Do you want more joy in your life? 
Go serve God's children. 
I promise you'll find it! 

Today we hiked down 654 steps to a cave right on the ocean called neptune's grotto! It was sooooo cool, the water was turquoise blue and the stalactites hanging from the ceiling were HUGE. The guide said they were around 700 MILLION years old!! che vecchio wow. I don't think I will ever stop being absolutely amazed by the beauty of God's creations, especially on my incredible island home of Sardegna 🌊🤍 hehe
Then we turned around and walked right back up the 654 steps hahaha calf workout for real. 

Other Highlights:
-ate goat cheese cut straight outta the goat's stomach #fresh
-in the same meal we also tried lung heart and stomach from a pig (surprisingly good!) and another time cantaloupe with ham on top of it (apparently a classic Sardegnian appetizer!) 
-went around centro with a whiteboard asking people to write what makes them happy! It was so fun and we met so many kind people! Some of my favorites were: "to see you smile" "fresh air" "to be in Sardegna" and "Gesù"
-general conference is in less than TWO WEEKS YEAHHH LETS GET HYPED

SHE'S A RUNNER

  Hellooooo and happy summer everybody!    Things are starting to heat up down here in Sicilia, (quite literally-there was a huge fire the other day but tutto bene!) but me and my new companion, Sorella Wall, are ready to conquer the heat in our apartment with no AC!! hahaha we'll be fine... Also- SHE IS A RUNNER!!! Answer to prayers.  We've run every morning since being companions (down by the sea hehe) and my soul is slowly starting to heal.   Sorella Wall is a grinder of a runner and a grinder of a missionary! I don't think I've ever worked this hard in my life and also had this much fun while doing it! Saturday, February 17: SONO UNA MISSIONARIA?!?!

  Saturday, 17 February 2024 SORELLE E FRATELLI   First off- guys I love you. Thank you for being in my life, writing down your email, and going on this adventure with me!!!! I LOVE YOU ALL    Second off- some quick hitters: I finished my first week of missionary training online! My companion is from Germany!  Her name is Sorella Köcher. Still working on that pronunciation haha but she is AMAZING. Such a kind and genuine soul with an amazing testimony that is already so inspiring to me! She shares a love for Ikea and makes me laugh. I'm excited to learn and grow with her!  I am in a district with ALL Sorelle (Sisters). SO FUN. Slumber parties with 5 girls for 5 weeks? Sign me up  Haha I'll keep you guys updated on how it goes. More on them in a sec.  I absolutely love each of my 3 teachers!! 2 Sorelle e 1 Fratello. They all served in Italy and one of them is half Italian! Wednesday, October 16 Hello!!  Okay I've got 2 stories for you to show why I just love this place and these people and this work so stinking much.  Number 1! A couple weeks ago Sorella Riley found a lady named Stacey on Facebook! She is from Pennsylvania but married a man from Oristano and has lived here with her son for 7 years. She grew up going to young women activities and church with her friend who is a member and asked if we could bring her a new copy of the Book of Mormon because she lost hers. Say less!! We drove the 15 minutes into the countryside and looked for her gate on a street with no name haha, literally in the middle of nowhere. She welcomed us into her home/farm with open arms and made us feel so at home and appreciated! It was so cool seeing her animals that all just roam around her yard together, they're all so friendly! If I can remember correctly she has... 2 donkeys, 2 emus, 30 chickens, 6 cats, 1 dog, 3 goats, 1 sardegnian sheep (!!), 4 para...
