Ciaoooo we made it another week!! Life is good and the work of the Lord moves forward as always!

Real quick I want to tell you guys more about my good friend Antonello. I think I've mentioned him before but this guy never stops inspiring me.

Oh first of all! Transfers came and went and I've got a new companion, Sorella Riley! So excited to be working with her!

So a few days ago we had a video call with Antonello and Ania (a newly returned home missionary aka our queen spiritual beast bestie). It was probably the most spiritual lesson of. my. mission. Crazy how the Spirit will testify even over video call! A little bit into the video call Antonello began to tell us a lot of struggles he is dealing with, doubts, fears, concerns, etc. I caught myself as I listened, putting together sentences in Italian and planning out what to say in response. Then I had the clear prompting: "just listen." So I did. When he finished there was a moment of silence and then I immediately knew what to say. It was a simple, powerful truth. "Antonello," I said, "Dio ti ama." I testified of God and Jesus' love for him and that They know his heart and see his efforts. I don't think there was a dry eye as we all felt so strongly the love of God for Antonello in that moment. 
Long story short, Antonello is amazing. He testifies to us every video call that he knows he has found the true Church of Jesus Christ. He loves president nelson and after watching his 100th bday celebration he texted us "President Nelson is a messenger of Jesus Christ, his love for all goes far beyond the love we all know." 
Tonight we did a tour of the temple visitor center with Antonello led by Sorella Taylor and it was so special. He is praying about the date of his baptism:)) Please pray that Antonello will feel peace and place his trust in God as he works toward making this covenant with God!! Also that his health will be good! I know every prayer counts! 

What did I take away from this experience? 
-God loves each of His children infinitely. His love is real. It is personal. It is there. I am so grateful to feel even a small part of this love on my mission!! 
-Listen. To the person and then to the Spirit. Heavenly Father will guide you. 
-This gospel is a gospel of joy!! Almost every time we talk with Antonello he says 'Sorella McCune you are always smiling so big, how are you always smiling?' And the answer is, I can't help but smile as I witness the miracle of people's lives being changed as they come unto their Savior Jesus Christ. This gospel is hope! It is joy! Jesus Christ is joy! Even a man like Antonello, with many difficulties, is finding joy and strength in Jesus Christ - I know you can too:)).

ALSO we spent the day in a town called Alghero while Sorella Black, Sorella Edwards, and I waited for our new comps to fly in and we found the CUTEST library to study in so yeah there's your fun fact of the day if you didn't know-> Sorella McCune loves books hehe

SHE'S A RUNNER

  Hellooooo and happy summer everybody!    Things are starting to heat up down here in Sicilia, (quite literally-there was a huge fire the other day but tutto bene!) but me and my new companion, Sorella Wall, are ready to conquer the heat in our apartment with no AC!! hahaha we'll be fine... Also- SHE IS A RUNNER!!! Answer to prayers.  We've run every morning since being companions (down by the sea hehe) and my soul is slowly starting to heal.   Sorella Wall is a grinder of a runner and a grinder of a missionary! Saturday, February 17: SONO UNA MISSIONARIA?!?!

  Saturday, 17 February 2024 SORELLE E FRATELLI   First off- guys I love you. Thank you for being in my life, writing down your email, and going on this adventure with me!!!! I LOVE YOU ALL    Second off- some quick hitters: I finished my first week of missionary training online! My companion is from Germany!  Her name is Sorella Köcher. Still working on that pronunciation haha but she is AMAZING. Such a kind and genuine soul with an amazing testimony that is already so inspiring to me! She shares a love for Ikea and makes me laugh. I'm excited to learn and grow with her!  I am in a district with ALL Sorelle (Sisters). SO FUN. Slumber parties with 5 girls for 5 weeks? Sign me up  Haha I'll keep you guys updated on how it goes. More on them in a sec.  I absolutely love each of my 3 teachers!! 2 Sorelle e 1 Fratello. They all served in Italy and one of them is half Italian! Wednesday, October 16 Hello!!  Okay I've got 2 stories for you to show why I just love this place and these people and this work so stinking much.  Number 1! A couple weeks ago Sorella Riley found a lady named Stacey on Facebook! She is from Pennsylvania but married a man from Oristano and has lived here with her son for 7 years. She grew up going to young women activities and church with her friend who is a member and asked if we could bring her a new copy of the Book of Mormon because she lost hers. Say less!! We drove the 15 minutes into the countryside and looked for her gate on a street with no name haha, literally in the middle of nowhere. She welcomed us into her home/farm with open arms and made us feel so at home and appreciated! It was so cool seeing her animals that all just roam around her yard together, they're all so friendly! If I can remember correctly she has... 2 donkeys, 2 emus, 30 chickens, 6 cats, 1 dog, 3 goats, 1 sardegnian sheep (!!), 4 para...
