"Sono Pronta"

Let's get this week started with some AMAZING NEWS YAY!!!!!

1) My bestie model and loves Jesus friend, Alice, will be baptized on July 27th! πŸ˜‡πŸŽ‰πŸ«ΆπŸ€πŸ₯Ή  We asked her how she was feeling about baptism and she simply said "sono pronta." (I'm ready.) I was able to extend my first baptismal invite of my mission and there was such a sweet but powerful Spirit present. Then she started talking about how baptism is a responsibility and not just a one time decision but a decision we make every day and every week when we take the sacrament and ahh she is just so golden. I want to go to relief society with her for the rest of my life just so I can hear her comments because I learn so much from her every time!! She is amazing and so ready to make this first step on the covenant path!
2) My high school cross country coach is an OLYMPIAN!! Just got to throw that in there because I learned so much from her and am so inspired by Coach Marisa. The morning after we found out she made it to the olympics, Sorella Wall and I decided it was the day we were going to run and conquer the hill by our house- and we did!
3) God's hand. I feel like a broken record at this point but it blows my mind how present God's hand is in this work. I saw His hand in a woman who at first told us she was non-religious but a week later asked us for a Book of Mormon and a lesson. God changes hearts. I saw His hand when we traveled 45 minutes to an appointment that fell through. We decided to start visiting some people in our contacts who lived around the area and ran into an Iranian woman from Seattle who is searching for a church community. We sat down in the park with her and taught her the entire Restoration just from questions she asked and promised to send her the contact information of the missionaries in her area. And guess what- one of the missionaries in the exact area where she lives is related to Sorella Wall. That's no coincidence, And I even saw His hand in a sweet woman at the bakery who gave us a free bag of croissants just because. :) God sends tender mercies.

The moral of the story this week: God is good. He loves you. Put in the effort to learn about Him and I promise you will feel His love more prevalent in your life.
