i love this life
Some weeks are just so good and I feel
so grateful to be living this beautiful, exhausting, spirit-filled,
simple life of being a missionary for Jesus Christ.
"O
then, is not this real? I say unto you, Yea, because it is light; and
whatsoever is light, is good, because it is discernible, therefore ye
must know that it is good" (Alma 32:35)
I
met a lady named Elisabetta on the bus the other day. She is from
Israel! She gave me a big smile and invited me to sit by her and we
started chatting. She is such a light in this world! It got me thinking
how cool my job is. I get to meet and talk to people from all over the
world! I've met people from Israel, Mauritius, Germany, France, Greece,
Montenegro, the UK, Russia, Brazil, Ethiopia, just to name a few! I get
to talk to them in a beautiful language I love, learn about their
perspectives, families, beliefs and then I get to share mine! I get to
tell them about my rock and my Savior- Jesus Christ- and about His
gospel which has changed my life. MISSIONS ARE THE BEST!!
Some things that made me happy this week:)
-Lucy, a little girl in the military ward, had the same white owala water bottle as me
twinners.

-Our
Chosen movie nights after English Course give me life. We had some
technology difficulties figuring out season 2 and Anziano Hartshorn
worked for an hour and even subscribed to netflix (?!!) just so we could
still have the movie night. This is just the way they are. Incredibly
kind and generous in the quietest way. We passed out Sorella Hartshorn's
YUM brownies and then all watched and hyped up Jesus whenever He came
on screen. These people are so good it amazes me. I want to be like the
Hartshorns when I grow up!!
-Ate hamburgers from the top of Brother Craven's 9-story apartment building with a stunning view of lungo mare

-Had
the night of our lives eating gelato and teaching a lesson with Nicol,
protecting her from a guy attempting to steal her purse, seeing 4
knights in shining armor walk down centro, and driving home in a blue
land rover

-Our landlady finally had mercy on us and turned on our air conditioning
life changing.

-Jeanluca
from our english class is a legit opera singer and he and Anziano
Palmer improvised a song (in my google photos if you want to watch! https://photos.app.goo.gl/75qnZYn3BuzhFDLL8 )
-When
we asked to say the closing prayer during a lesson, a lady closed her
eyes and started singing to Jesus...for 5 minutes... Sorella Wall and I
weren't quite sure what to do haha. But hey she could sing!
Lots more but that's it from me this week!
Ciao ciao- keep shining your lights
