Sorella McCune Italy Rome Mission 2024-2025

  Hellooooo and happy summer everybody!    Things are starting to heat up down here in Sicilia, (quite literally-there was a huge fire the other day but tutto bene!) but me and my new companion, Sorella Wall, are ready to conquer the heat in our apartment with no AC!! hahaha we'll be fine... Also- SHE IS A RUNNER!!! Answer to prayers.  We've run every morning since being companions (down by the sea hehe) and my soul is slowly starting to heal.   Sorella Wall is a grinder of a runner and a grinder of a missionary! I don't think I've ever worked this hard in my life and also had this much fun while doing it! Wednesday, June 19, 2024 HELLOOOO!!!    I FINISHED TRAINING!!! WAHOOOOO    I will be staying in Catania for another transfer with Sorella Wall from the Visitor's Center! Sorella Pike is going up north with Sorella Köcher, my MTC comp! Bittersweet and fun times! I'm happy to be staying in Catania and excited to see what the Lord has in store for us this transfer!  Today we went to Taormina - literally drop dead gorgeous (if you ever have a chance to go in your life- TAKE IT.) and it felt like an actual family vacation with the Hartshorns (senior couple) and all the anziani (elders) haha. So, so fun. I'm going to miss this district, we have had some good laughs and good times together.  Wednesday, June 12, 2024 This week I fell in love with missionary work. I feel like I've discovered my purpose here, and even more importantly, God's purpose for me, here in this beautiful city of Catania and I am just bursting with gratitude and amazement at the mercy, grace, and goodness of God. This week a song Sorella Pike and I kept going back to and playing is "Praise to the Lord, the Almighty" Verse 3. Praise to the Lord, who doth prosper thy way and defend thee. Surely his goodness and mercy shall ever attend thee. Wednesday, June 5 First off the best news of the week... THEY DROPPED THE FIRST 15 SONGS OF THE NEW HYMNBOOK LETS GOOOOOO all of the Sorelle in my zone were blowing up the group chat hahaha BEST SURPRISE ALBUM RELEASE OF MY LIFE hahah mission things.  Also I complimented a lady on her shoes at church and she just GAVE them to me??!? Then she apologized they were a little dirty and gave me a PAINTBRUSH to clean them with?? So now I've got sparkly shoes 3 sizes too small and a paintbrush. Nice. Hahaha ceciliani are so random. I love them to death.  We went to a member's house this week who is so brava. We chatted in the kitchen and discussed why bad things happen to good people and God's plan.
