MIRACLES MONSEN AND MAY Wednesday, May 8, 2024

Wow. God is a God of miracles. I'm pretty sure that was the heading of every single one of my journal entries this week haha and oh man it is so true. IM HYPED AND YOU SHOULD BE TOO CAUSE ITS MIRACLE MAY! Also I finished my first transfer in the field wild. Staying here in Catania!!

Okay so this week: Sorella Pike and I set a goal to find FIVE people. Might not sound like a ton to some people but for context last transfer they found two people... in the ENTIRE transfer lol. So five in one week was for sure an act of faith. We made plans to accomplish that goal and started praying for miracles

AND LET ME TELL YOU THEY CAME!!!!!

On Friday we decided to make a goal to find 3 people in one day. We had appointments with 2 ladies that went super well and we found them! With 2 hours left in the day we still needed to find one more person to accomplish our goal. We decided to call all of our contacts (BIG FANS of phone flush over here

) and try and share a spiritual thought with someone. 10, 20, 30 calls go by- we're back down on our knees, we can't do this without God!! 40, 50, it's 8:30 at night and we have called SIXTY people. No one is interested. We decide to call one more. Sara. SHE ANSWERS AND WE SHARE A SPIRITUAL THOUGHT AND SET A RETURN APPOINTMENT!!!! we accomplished our goal and found another one of God's children. it's a miracle. You can't convince me otherwise.

But it doesn't stop there!!!

The next day we met with a less active member named Jessica. She is soooo sweet and friendly and brings her boyfriend who happens to be one of the most ELECT PEOPLE I HAVE EVER MET. and his name is literally a prophet's name - MONSEN!!! We started sharing our spiritual thought and he kept stopping us: "wait what does that word repentance mean?" or "what do you mean when you say Atonement?" or "do I have to be baptized again if I've already been baptized in the catholic church?" We would explain and he would say ok makes sense and then explain it back to us in the most beautiful way. It turned into a 45 min long discussion about repentance, Jesus Christ, the Book of Mormon, and baptism!! It was so incredible. The gift of tongues is so so real. I spoke the most I think I ever have in a lesson! Just like that without us even expecting it, God placed Monsen in our paths. I'm so excited to be a part of his and Jessica's journey!

I have such a strong testimony that this is the Lord's work! We could not do it without Him. I cannot do it without Him.

I hope you are all doing so well! Thank you for your prayers for me and for the other missionaries all around the world - they are heard and I am seeing them being answered here in Italy!
