Sorella McCune Italy Rome Mission 2024-2025

  Buongiorno a tutti!  This week I saw a couple ballroom dancing on the street, a man walking his cat, and a baby on the back of a vespa ... all in the same night. Well I guess that's Italy for ya hahaha.  Story + miracle time!!!  Last weekend I got to travel to Rome with my dear Sorella Davis for visa things ( SO much fun-literally a dream as you can imagine) and spend a day at the visitor center which was absolutely incredible. Sorella Davis and I were doing a companionship study outside the temple when a lady named Rina came up to us and asked how to get to the Visitor center! She is from Siracusa (a city an hour away from Catania )  and has a friend who is a member and she told her to go to the temple during her trip to Rome! We chatted and walked with her to the VC.  Wednesday, 22 May 2024    ️girls trip Hello hello hello!!  Life is so beautiful with God in it. There are these little yellow flowers in my front yard. Every night when the sun goes away they close and every morning when we walk outside they are opened again! They are so cute and make me so happy every morning when we walk outside to all of them making the yard bright and cheerful. Little things like this are a way I see God's hand in my life!  Francesca came to a relief society activity this week!! She is my favorite. At one point one of the sisters asked her how she met the Sorelle and as she told the story of how the Sorelle (a few months ago) stopped her in the street she started talking about how she feels this special feeling of peace and joy whenever she meets with us and how she could feel it right then- I am constantly amazed at how sensitive she is to the Spirit!! I am so excited to help her on her journey in developing her relations...

 

Wednesday, 15 May 2024 JESUS LOVES YOU!!!  don't forget it.   Okay now for the week!!!  Last week during our family home evening President was giving his weekly pep talk (I live for these) and starts talking about how Elder Brent H Nielson from the presidency of the seventy is in Germany and then said that he wanted to stop by our mission AND THEN SAYS HE'S DECIDED TO BRING THE WHOLE MISSION TOGETHER IN ROME FOR A SPECIAL MISSION CONFERENCE!!!!  So yeah! That's how I ended up in Rome this week. The conference was amazing. Sister Nielson and Elder Nielson focused on the redeeming power vs enabling power of the Atonement of Jesus Christ which is such a cool concept; I suggest you look into it because we talked about it for 3 hours and I cannot fit it all on this email haha.  MIRACLES MONSEN AND MAY      Wednesday, May 8, 2024 Wow. God is a God of miracles. I'm pretty sure that was the heading of every single one of my journal entries this week haha and oh man it is so true. IM HYPED AND YOU SHOULD BE TOO CAUSE ITS MIRACLE MAY! Also I finished my first transfer in the field wild. Staying here in Catania!!  Okay so this week: Sorella Pike and I set a goal to find FIVE people. Might not sound like a ton to some people but for context last transfer they found two people... in the ENTIRE transfer lol. So five in one week was for sure an act of faith. We made plans to accomplish that goal and started praying for miracles AND LET ME TELL YOU THEY CAME!!!!!  On Friday we decided to make a goal to find 3 people in one day.
