Wednesday, April 23: 🌷🌷🌷

Wednesday, April 23: 🌷🌷🌷 I'm convinced that the Rome Italy temple in the spring is the prettiest place on planet earth. The flowers are blooming all over the place and the spring brides have started showing up:) I'm so grateful for all of the experiences I've been blessed with while being in the visitors center. It's the most beautiful thing to meet people from all over the world who come here and have their hearts' touched as the Spirit directs our tours. I wish I could share all of them but here are a couple from this week On Easter Sunday during our evening shift I met 2 couples who live near the temple. They are members of the Catholic church but were impressed by the Christus statue and decided to stop by. As we talked, they told me that the day before their grandson had been baptized. They were so happy and I felt so happy with them! I was reminded, as I have many times during my mission, of all the incredible people there are in the world. Ev...

Thursday, April 17: Easter in Italy pt. 2

Thursday, April 17: Easter in Italy pt. 2 BUONA PASQUA!! Happy Easter!! I love Easter in Italy. Crazy to think that my very first member meal in Italy was Easter dinner over a year ago! I've been studying from the Bible along with each day of the Holy Week and one of my favorites (so far hehe) was Palm Sunday and Christ's triumphal entry into Jerusalem. I learned this week that an entry like this wasn't unique to Jesus, it was actually a common ceremonial entry at that time. Jewish kings were known to ride a donkey in times of peace. Jesus used the customs of His day to teach people who He was as The King of Kings and The Prince of Peace. I also learned that palm branches symbolize victory, peace, and joy. President Nelson reminds us to also remember the palms of Jesus' hands: "Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands, thy walls are continually before me." (Isaiah 49:16) I've loved tieing in symbols of Easter in the visitors cent...

Tuesday, April 8: trauma bonded🙈

Tuesday, April 8: trauma bonded🙈 So y'all thought that last week was crazy over in Roma 3... I think this one takes the cake haha. Starting off on Friday after our district council when a car going way over the limit caught our left fender and sent us spinning.  In all seriousness though, angels were 100% surrounding us and stopped us from crashing into all the parked cars on the side of the road. We all walked away from it with the normal aches and pains although Sorella Tzun did get a ride in the ambulance from a minor concussion but after the anziani gave her a blessing in the middle of the intersection she has recovered miraculously quickly. Definitely going to have a little ptsd from that one as the driver but we can add it to the list of fun mission stories.  I'm pretty sure these sorelle and I are bonded for life and i'm honestly not mad about it lol. thenn general conference at the vc!! So fun. We weren't able to watch all of the sessions ...

Wednesday, April 2: sugar on cappuccino

Wednesday, April 2: sugar on cappuccino This week was insane. I love life as a missionary!! It's absolutely wild.  Highlights in pictures!!  #1 Today we went to the temple to do an endowment session for my very first time in the Rome Italy temple. After all the hours I've spent in the vc and on the grounds it was the biggest blessing to get to go inside. It was so beautiful and fun going with a big group of missionaries!   #2 Zone conference was so powerful! We focused on Easter and the Atonement of Jesus Christ. I know that Christ lives and I am so grateful to be His representative every day.    #3 This little boy came into the vc this week. Sorella Lamb, a senior couple sister, and I helped watch him while his parents received their endowment. Then they came down and picked him up to be sealed as a family for eternity. So special to see the keys of the priesthood being used first hand for this special  family.  #4 This is our guy Giorgio!!...
